Below are the terms and conditions that apply to all persons accessing the planetFear website. These terms and conditions apply to the entire planetFear.com site and if you do not agree with them please stop using the site.

Disclaimer and Safety Warning

Climbing, mountaineering and other outdoor activities can be hazardous. The selection and use of suitable equipment for particular tasks and climate conditions does require skill. In the interests of your safety and the safety of others, you should ensure that you are properly equipped and trained in the use of the equipment. You should also ensure that you are properly trained in the techniques you will need to employ in pursuit of your chosen activity.

We recommend that you seek and take the advice of a person who is suitably qualified before purchasing your equipment. Once purchased, the equipment should only be used in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions and should likewise be inspected before use and properly maintained.

We would like to draw our customers' attention to the BMC participation statement, which we endorse:

Refunds and Returns

Please retain your receipt and present it with any returned goods. Please return items in a clean condition.

1. Any unused and unworn item can be exchanged or refunded, with the following exceptions:

• items ordered specially
• items sold as “shop soiled”
• sale or reduced items (in store purchases only)
• underwear and socks
• climbing hardware or other personal protection equipment
• sleeping bags and liners
• DVDs, videos CDs and software
• printed media such as magazines, books, etc

and providing:

• It is returned within 14 days of purchase (30 days if purchased in store),
• It is accompanied by the receipt,
• All packaging, instructions and guarantees are returned and
• It is in a re-saleable condition.

2. Any faulty goods returned within 30 days of purchase, with minimal wear and accompanied by a proof of purchase will be exchanged for an identical item or refunded.

3. Any faulty goods returned more than 30 days from purchase and accompanied by a proof of purchase may be sent for repair, or replaced or refunded at the Managers discretion,

4. Where a fault or the cause of a fault is not apparent to our staff we reserve the right to send the item for testing before deciding on any action to be taken.

5. Any faulty goods returned showing wear and which cannot be reasonably repaired may have an amount deducted from the refund or credit note.

6. Where an item was purchased by credit/debit card then any refund must be on the same credit/debit card.

This policy is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellation

Any orders (except personalised or specially ordered non-stock items) may be cancelled before dispatch without cost and any pre-payments will be reimbursed.

Any unauthorised content use will be invoiced at £10.00 per word and £1000.00 per image.
