Saturday 7th August 2010About Sleepless in the Saddle
SITS has been seen by many as the little brother of Mountain Mayhem, it's brought to you with the same enthusiasm and attention to detail but with a more relaxed and intimate feel.
The event has also for many years been regarded traditionally as the end of season celebration of Cross Country racing in the UK. Endura have watched closely as this festival has developed both in stature and atmosphere and now they are delighted to be able to be part of it all. This event brings together riders from all walks of life and all abilities and the union of cooperation and competition reflects the Endura ethos of riding for everybody.
Endura will not only be sponsoring the event but aim to get fully involved by taking part in the event itself. Also they have some very imaginative and proactive promotions that they will be rolling out at SITS. Keep your eyes peeled in the press or more details of what will be on offer at SITS 2008
Endura owner Jim McFarlane was enthusiastic at the prospect of being involved with SITS stating:
"Sleepless in the Saddle is an event that epitomizes the culture of what mountain biking is all about; It's less about winning and more about getting on a bike with your friends and having a good time. At Endura we have always been less interested in lining the pockets of elite superstars and more excited about supporting events and activities that encourage people to participate in cycling and to preserve its status as a healthy and sociable sport. We're all really looking forward to getting in the saddle at this year's event which I am sure will be better than ever "
